2nd attempt at Cardboard Card Making

Hey! I think I am getting the hang of this card making business again. It's like not riding a bike for many years and then getting back on one again. A bit wobbly but, still keeping a straight path.

This 2nd card is a little on the wonky side. I mean the letters were not as precise as I wanted them to be. I don't have any letter dies for the Big Shot machine. I had to cut each letter out by hand. At first glance this doesn't look much like a cardboard card. Look closer and you will see that the individual colour panels are cardboard pieces that have been embossed with a clear embossing powder and then reheated to accept the image of the snow flake. I am not sure what that technique is called but I absolutely LOVE it! I had to trim the finished card down a little bit to even out the sides. It was a lot more work than my first one but, I still like it. I may revisit this card in the future when I get a set of letter dies.

Everything used is Stampin'UP! product unless specified.

Stamp sets used:Snowflakes, Big Deal Alphabet

Embellishments and Accessories: clear, gold & psychedelic embossing powder (non SU), Cranberry, Royal Blue & Alpine ink colours (non SU), white card stock, Versa Mark Ink.
