2nd attempt at Cardboard Card Making

Hey! I think I am getting the hang of this card making business again. It's like not riding a bike for many years and then getting back on one again. A bit wobbly but, still keeping a straight path.

This 2nd card is a little on the wonky side. I mean the letters were not as precise as I wanted them to be. I don't have any letter dies for the Big Shot machine. I had to cut each letter out by hand. At first glance this doesn't look much like a cardboard card. Look closer and you will see that the individual colour panels are cardboard pieces that have been embossed with a clear embossing powder and then reheated to accept the image of the snow flake. I am not sure what that technique is called but I absolutely LOVE it! I had to trim the finished card down a little bit to even out the sides. It was a lot more work than my first one but, I still like it. I may revisit this card in the future when I get a set of letter dies.

Christmas Cards from Cardboard? Yes it can be done!

Not working for a company really stresses one out. I have been without a fulltime job for a few months now and am feeling the pinch.

Just trying to fill the time with more than just laziness I rediscovered the craft of rubber stamping. This was something that I was doing about 10 years ago but dropped because I lost interest. Things have changed a lot since then. Wowzers! The rubber stamp images have come a long way.
I picked up a readily available medium that companies and people were just throwing away by the tons. Here is my first creation.

It still uses a firm white card stock for support. Otherwise the card will just crush itself and not stand up. With cardboard all you can really do is stamp, emboss, cut and paste. I try to use all cardboard and no paper except for the backing support. (Whatever it's called, I am sure someone will correct me on it.) There isn't a recipe here. I will post recipes for the next projects.
